Top 4 cleansing balms

beauty, cruelty free

Best_Cleanisng_Balm_1

So with the weather changing and getting colder my skin just hates me – so I figured yours might, too. What a great time to share my favorite greases to put on my face – and please tell me yours to because I love cleansing balms. By the way, these four are all cruelty free, I use them mostly at night time giving my skin a good massage before removing it with a damp, warm washcloth or flannel.

#1 light & effectivebodyshop_camomile_sumptous_cleansing_butter_2

The camomile cleansing butter from the body shop is basically a dupe for Clinique’s take the day off balm. For me it’s the make up remover of the bunch as it dissolves all the stuff clinging to your face throughout the day instantly. It melts to the touch and doesn’t smell of anything, leaving no residue behind when taken off. You can massage, adding a bit of water and then rinsing if you like. This is a total no-brainer, not expensive, easy to use, does the job – skincare staple. In this range there is also a cleansing oil which is great, too.

#2 herbal & smoothbalmbalm_frankincense_deep_cleansing_balm_

If you love organic skincare the frankincense deep cleansing balm form Balm Balm is for you. Smells like herb-garden and melts into soft-smooth goodness. You don’t need much to have enough slip for a nice massage (which this one is perfect for). Use this one after you have taken your mascara & make-up off and you will be left with super soft and clean feeling skin. The packaging is also really nice and heavy. This will best suit those with a dry skin, because this is full on balm and might be bit too much for oily faces but test it out first, it comes in a 30ml size at 11,51€ which for this quality is A+.

#3 fresh & silkyemma_hardie_amazing_face_moringa_cleansing_balm_1

Emma Hardie amazing face moringa cleansing balm smells just divine with a hint of orange and is the absolute all-rounder, not too heavy for oily skin and enough greasiness for the dry. Removes make-up very well and feels soft on the skin. If you have the money to spend – do it, you will probably end up liking this very much especially throughout winter. After cleansing my skin feels comfortable but not so moisturized that I’d skip serum/night-cream. The jar is massive though, so don’t go travel with this.

#4 thick & greasylush_ultra_bland_1

If you feel like your skin is flaking off and you get wrinkles because you’re dry go to Lush and get yourself some Ultra Bland. This is serious grease in a tub for cleansing and massaging your pretty face but take the mascara off first. This melts more slowly than the others which leads you to working it in properly. There is no particular smell to it which I like very much. The only way to remove this is with a damp flannel, don’t try to emulsify and rinse off – won’t work. Once removed my skin feels super hydrated (to the point of skipping moisturizer), smooth and calm. I always have this around, even in summer.
